Dr. Jennifer M. Segal, M.D.
Dr. Jennifer M. Segal, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist and founder of Metropolitan Dermatology Institute. Through her established clinical practice, Dr. Segal provides scientifically proven treatments in the fields of skin health and skin aging. She is known for her advanced techniques in cosmetic dermatology, including soft tissue fillers, the neuromodulators Botox and Dysport, chemical peels, and laser treatments.
Raised in Honolulu and San Francisco, Dr. Segal received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in dermatology in 2006. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and the Women’s Dermatologic Society, and volunteer faculty in Dermatology at the Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Segal is passionate about cancer research, therapy and prevention. She has conducted research at the University of Pennsylvania, New York University Medical Center, and University of California San Francisco, and has partnered with MD Anderson in philanthropic capacities.
An accomplished author, orator and spokesperson, Dr. Segal has published and lectured both nationally and internationally in the fields of cancer research, surgery and dermatology. She has consulted for international skin care brands Dove, Simple, and Skinceuticals, as well as leading aesthetic corporations including Galderma and Allergan. Her skin care advice has been published in a variety of national media outlets, including Glamour, People, New Beauty, and Teen Vogue.
Dr. Scott H. Smith, M.D.
Dr. Scott H. Smith, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive professional experience in both private and university-based academic practices. Dr. Smith’s expertise includes skin cancer screening, hyperhidrosis (excess sweating), medical and cosmetic dermatology. In keeping with the professional philosophy at MDI, Dr. Smith personally performs all laser and injectable treatments.
Raised in Singapore, Tokyo, and Chicago, Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree with highest honors from the University of Pennsylvania, including studies at the University of Oxford, Christ Church College, England. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, where he also performed his internship at The Cambridge Hospital. Dr. Smith completed his residency in dermatology at Duke University Medical Center in 2006. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of both the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the International Hyperhidrosis Society.
After a decade of clinical practice at Northwestern Medical Group in downtown Chicago, Dr. Smith joined Metropolitan Dermatology Institute to work with Dr. Jennifer Segal, his longtime friend and colleague from their Duke Dermatology residency.
Dr. Gracia W. Duncan, M.D.
Dr. Gracia Wynne Duncan, M.D. is a board certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology with extensive experience in both private practice and hospital settings.
A native Houstonian and much loved member of the Houston medical community, Dr. Wynne Duncan is known for her exemplary patient care. At Metropolitan Dermatology Institute, she brings particular expertise in nonsurgical feminine rejuvenation for the treatment of age and hormone-related thinning and laxity of the vaginal and vulvar tissue, mild to moderate urinary incontinence, and orgasmic dysfunction. Given her professional philosophy and commitment to patient care, Dr. Wynne Duncan personally performs all patient consultations and procedures.
Dr. Wynne Duncan is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received her medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston, where she also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2004. She is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association, and an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine.
